As she finished high school with a full tuition scholarship to University of Toronto where she pursued theatre studies with a double degree in psychology and Sociology. Contractor landed her first role after a year of university. She received rave reviews for her work during the 92 performances that this play, which was named"the best show of 2002" by Canadian reviewers in 2002. She was invited to attend Stratford's conservatory. It is a place that allows only four males and eight females can attend an intensive 20-week program in classical theatre. Contractor got a place in the next season of productions and was offered the role as Hermia as Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
